Summer Style & Raise.com

Dress: BCBG (old, similar here) // Shoes: Zara (Similar here) // Hat: J.Crew // Bag: Loeffler Randall (last seen here) // Lips: Maybeline Electric Orange // Bracelets: David Yurman and Madewell // Rings: David Yurman and Bauble Bar

The little white dress (or LWD) is one of my favorite summer staples. A LWD feels airy and feminine, and in an eyelet cotton it is perfect for the Florida heat. Dressed up or down, a white dress (much like it's LBD counterpart) can virtually work for any occasion. This one in particular I have had for years and summer, after summer, I am happy to report it re-enters my rotation. It is nice to know that some things really never go out of style. To spice up my tried and true LWD, I added a new favorite...my citrus clutch.  Lush prints featuring fruit, palms and other tropical graphics are everywhere this season. A clutch is a great way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe, it provides just the right pop without going overboard.

When shopping for classic summertime staples, or bright new trends, check out Raise.com. Raise is a new marketplace where you can buy discounted gift cards to your favorite brands, and sell your unused gift cards for cash. They have gift cards from many of my favorite brands such as Nordstrom, Sephora and Anthropologie. To sell your unused gift cards click here. Check out Raise to learn more; the concept is brilliant.  To I hope everyone has wonderful start to their week and thank you as always for reading.

Nautical Mix

Shorts: ASOS // Shirt: J.Crew // Shoes: Kate Spade // Jacket: J.Crew // Sunnies: Karen Walker Anywhere // Bracelets: David Yurman // Lips: Maybeline in Electric Orange // Bag: Vintage

Navy and white stripes are the epitome of east-coast style.  Whether you are near the water, or miles away, they add a classic and nautical vibe to a wardrobe.  Here I paired two different sizes of stripes in the same classic palette and threw in some polka-dots for good measure. The field jacket helps to break up all the print and give this girly outfit a touch of contrast. I think being back in Florida is causing me to revert back to my preppy roots. Either way... I love, and will always love stripes for summer. Thank you as always for reading and have a great weekend!

Splatter

Jacket: Tibi // Top: Trouve (similar here) // Jeans: J.Crew (wanting these high waisted ones here) // Shoes: Birkenstock for J.Crew (love the gold ones here too) // Bag: Celine // Lips: Hourglass in Riviera // Nails: CND Vinalux in Electric Orange // Watch: Vintage Rolex // Bracelets: David Yurman and Ali Grace // Sunnies: Karen Walker

I love all-white looks for summer. However, there is a way to do all-white, without it exactly being... well, all-white. This jacket gives my white ensemble a splash of print, while maintaining the minimalist feel of the look. The same goes for adding metallic accessories, like with my Birkenstocks. The extra shine gives a perfect dose of interest, yet they continue to give a clean impression. My black bag may also seem like a wild-card pairing... but in some ways, I think the black bag just makes my "all-white" outfit pop and seem whiter.  Here is to contrast and monochromatic dressing, two completely different ideas that I managed to splatter together. Have a great week, and thank you for reading!

Watercolor

Dress: Hunter Bell c/o AshleGryre // Shoes: Tory Burch (old similar here and here) // Sunnies: RayBan // Bracelets: David Yurman, Ali Grace, and Madewell // Necklace: Elephant- J.Crew Factory

The effortless polish and flowing silhouette of a maxi dress makes it perfect for any summer occasion, especially for a night at the beach.  This one in particular is so feminine with it's pastel watercolor print I feel like a mermaid...sans-scales of course. I suppose the real reason that maxi dresses are so appealing comes from playing dress up as a little girl; any skirt with movement is just plain fun.

Off the Grid

Skirt: Bec & Bridge c/o Mulberry Dreams // Top: Target (old, similar here) // Jacket: BCBG (30% off today) // Shoes: Birkenstock for J.Crew // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bag: DVF

It has without a doubt been a crazy holiday weekend! I was in my best friend's wedding, Rob came into town, and I officially started prepping for the bar exam. With everything on my plate, I have felt like I have been 'off the grid' when it comes to blogging and all social media lately. Either way, It is great to be back to balancing life as usual. This outfit is also a balancing act, as it walks the line between sophisticated and casual. This skirt could have been easily paired with pumps or a heeled sandal, but my metallic Birkenstocks were a pleasantly comfortable option that in my opinion gave off a cooler vibe. I hope everyone enjoys the short week, and thank you as always for reading.

To see more Bec & Bridge shop Mulberry Dreams and follow them on instagram here!

Ethereal

Dress: Grethel c/o AshleGryre // Vest: Greylin c/o AshleyGryre // Shoes: Sam Edelman (old but love these here) // Clutch: Tory Burch (old, similar here) // Sunnies: Rayban // Lips: Tom Ford 'Pink Dusk'

Hello everyone! This light and airy maxi simply feels amazing. It's sheer gauzy fabric is weightless, and the matching slip underneath is constructed of the softest cotton. Calling all brides, this would be the perfect dress to pack for a honeymoon. The coolest part about this dress is that I had the privilege of meeting the designers at an AshleGryre event.  Melissa and Camilla are sisters from Colombia and this designing duo is equally as lovely as their array of feminine boho-chic styles. I loved chatting with them, as well as having the opportunity to get a sneak peak of their holiday collection (available at AshleGryre in the fall/winter). Some of my favorites from the collection include a metallic maxi and a chic deep-v navy tuxedo dress. It is not even June, and I am already planning my holiday party outfits! Too soon? I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and thank you as always for reading.

White Gladiator

Sandals: Stuart Weitzman (also here) // Shorts: Zara // Shirt: Madewell (old, similar here) // Blazer: Banana Republic (old, similar here) // Bracelets: David Yurman and Ali Grace // Sunnies: RayBan // Lips: NARS 'Viva Las Vegas'

I have finally made the permanent move from Mississippi back to my home in Florida. Being in a tropical environment has had several notable effects including, but not limited to: humidity frizz, an emerging tan, and the constant urge to wear all white. My favorite accent to an all white ensemble is definitely gold, or any metallic for that matter. I have wanted these metallic Stuart Weitzman gladiators for quite a while, so when it came time to purchase myself a graduation present I thought they would be perfect. It turns out, that I was right. I have the distinct feeling that these dramatic sandals will be getting a lot of wear this summer! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and thank you as always for reading!
