Color vs. Metallic... Spring Shoe Showdown

I have fully embraced the metallic shoe trend. Gold, silver, and rose gold... I love them all. But in the midst of my usual online shopping, I find myself thinking that I may need a little color in my life, well at least color at my feet. This brings me to the spring shoe showdown. Which is your favorite trend this season?

A Little Sparkle

Hello Everyone! 

The first sunny and mild day of spring has arrived! And seeing how it is now April I would say it is about time. The only thing that is more comfortable than the warmer weather are boyfriend jeans. If you have been reluctant to try a pair, trust me...putting on a skinny jean feels like leg prison compared to these babies. And if you are super girly like I am, I recommend juxtaposing the more androgynous distressed bottoms with ladylike pieces. And in my opinion, nothing says ladylike better than a jeweled collar, a structured bag, pearls and pointy pumps.

Happy Easter!

I love black and white... because it goes with everything. And I love this camisole and pant combo... because they feel like silk pajamas. As for my shoes, I picked them up last year at Zara and they have become my go to. Needless to say I am happy that color blocking continues to trend this Spring!

Red, Knit, and Blue

Happy Good Friday!

Camel, red, and a little peek of navy stripe. I love style that feels preppy, classic, and American (hear chanting USA, USA!!) 

Although the trees have begun to sprout in Oxford, I am ready for some real warmth...the spring weather here is still a little bit chilly for a Florida girl. However, I love this J.Crew coat so much I can't lie that I may be a tiny bit sad to store it in the back of my closet for a long summer's nap. Oh well, I am sure to get over it! For now, I will just continue to dream of light and airy sundresses.

White Hot Leather

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to The Quarter Life Closet. I have been wanting to start this blog for a while, and it feels great to finally have it underway!

Even though I do love a good winter white look, there is nothing quite like that first white dress of the spring season. Unfortunately March isn't really going out like a lamb here in Oxford! Due to this unseasonably cold weather, I decided to do a mod faux leather version of my usual spring white dress. As for my bags, sometimes I just can't decide between bright and black...
