Denim on Leo

Happy Thursday Everyone! I have been wearing denim on denim a lot lately... to the point where it has become my go-to uniform. It just feels so easy, and maybe I can admit a little lazy. I continually crave ways to change up my lazy day loves into something new. My solution: the classics. A black pointed toe pump, a statement necklace, a leopard bag, and a bright lip has successfully taken my ensemble from errand running to drink sipping. And these days I need to do both!

I hope everyone is having a great day, especially my Mom, today is her Birthday! So Happy Birthday Mom and thank you for always supporting my dreams and my closet... Love you!

Thank you for reading everyone.

Monday is for Monograms: Monogram Necklace Giveaway

It is no secret to those who know me that I love monograms. I monogram everything: pillows, towels, wine glasses, pajamas, and yes jewelry. A monogram necklace adds a little personal touch to any style and it is one of those everyday pieces that makes me feel like me. Here I am wearing my gold block letter necklace alone, but I love to layer it with other necklaces for an eclectic feel. So with all that being said... one lucky reader will get a chance to win a monogram just like mine (obviously with their initials) from the lovely people at My Monogram Necklace.

Here is how to enter:
1. Follow 'The Quarter Life Closet' on Google Friend Connect or BlogLovin
2.  Like 'My Monogram Necklace' on Facebook here
and
3. Send an email with your name to thequarterlifecloset@gmail.com with the subject line 'Monogram'.

The winner will be announced this Friday 9/13!

Thank for stopping by and I hope everyone has a great week!

Relaxed Leather

Let's face it... after a holiday weekend most of us want to slip into a pair of sweatpants. But the need to feel comfortable is no excuse to grab for those faded college dorm pants. These leather version of my trusty sweats have the same ease as the original but are super fashion forward. I like to save the investing for classic pieces, so I was also happy that for these trendy trousers the price point is as equally comfortable as they are. I hope everyone has a great rest of their week and as always thank you for reading.

Camouflage

I must admit... I was slow to embrace this season's camo trend. Every piece I came across made me feel that I looked like a back-up dancer in Destiny's Child 2001 "Survivor" music video. Enter, these jeans. I am amazed at how chic and versatile this military inspired print can be. The superb fit and muted colors prevent them from crossing that music video line. These pants are sure to pair nicely with a variety of items in my wardrobe. I am particularly excited about them with a chunky grey knit and oversized wool coat for winter. I guess you can say I am a camo convert! I hope everyone is having a happy Thursday! Thank you for stopping by.

Cool Cobalt

Colbalt blue may be the perfect color. It is bright, it can be worn all year around, and it looks good on virtually every skin tone. Lucky for us... it is big for the fall. As seen here, black and white may be one of my favorite pairings with the cool blue. However, if you are inclined to be more adventurous, try a striking neon yellow bag or silver metallic pump. I hope everyone is having a great week and as always thank you for reading.

Transition

Happy Sunday! This is that awkward time of the year when fall styles fill the stores, but the weather doesn't permit indulging in knit and leather just yet. During this transition period, I have been getting creative with my summer favorites. This striped pencil usually feels ultra nautical when I style it for the summer. However, paired with my trusty denim jacket and calf hair leopard heels... it feels oddly autumn ready. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. And as always thank you for reading.
