Leopard and Lemon

Many people often associate leopard print with fall and winter. However,
in my opinion the right cat-inspired graphic is seasonless. I actually purchased this pant at J.Crew in early fall and I am pleased that they are a perfect spring and summer piece as well. The black and white palette feels modern and the length of the pant is perfect to showcase strappy sandals. My bright neon lemon bag is surprisingly versatile... I kid you not, it is amazing how much I can wear it with. I hope you are having a great weekend and thanks for reading!

Stripes on Stripes

Sorry for the lapse in posts. I am happy to report that I have completed my second year of law school and I am back in Florida for the summer! Though Oxford is beautiful, I have missed the Spanish moss dripping off the oak trees and soaking up the sunshine on the beach. Being back near the ocean also puts me in a nautical mood... hence the pairing of stripes. A navy and white striped skirt can be worn with everything and this shirt provides a metallic spin on a classic staple. Have a great week!

May Flowers

It is hard to believe it is already May! Where does the time go? Well as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers...and first time I saw this floral print, I was hooked. The oversized graphic botanicals are a chic alternative to an overly feminine floral; and the back of the blouse has a swingy low cut-out that feels unexpected. This top will be making a lot of appearances in my summer wardrobe, but thanks to the color palette, it is sure to become a year around favorite.

Hope you are having a great weekend and thanks for reading!

Coral to the Max

Hello Everyone!

I love that a maxi dress can go from casual to cocktail with ease. Though I have opted for casual here, I could easily see this bright coral dress with chunky layered necklaces and a top knot for a chic drink with friends. Even more versatile than my maxi, is my vest. I know I have sung its praises previously... but it truly does go with everything. Have a great week!

Memphis Madewell Opening with Blogger Pennyweight

Madewell Memphis is open! For those of you that are unfamilar with the brand, it is like J.Crew's funky sister... eclectic with classic undertones... which I love. This store opening was hosted by Nashville blogger Elise Joseph from Pennyweight (check out her Pinterest boards they were featured in InStyle Magazine!) Lauren of Sunshades and Snowflakes and I made the drive from Oxford to Memphis and we couldn't have had a better time! Elise was so awesome, and it was great to chat with Kim Thomas of KP Fusion and Augusta Campbell of Memphis Magazines Style Watch. Not to mention, Madewell had some great finds...

Spring Weather Leather

I bought this cognac leather skirt back in fall; I love a piece that can be worn season to season. All I did was change out my sweater for a silky spring blouse, tights and ankle boots for these colorblock heels, and my coat for aviator sunnies. To add a jolt of color to such simple shapes, I had to add a pop of hot pink at the lips. Best part about this outfit... except for my everyday jewelry, no piece was over $100. Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Strawberry Stripes: Southern Royalty Feature

I love stripes! They give a classic vibe to anything... shirts, skirts, dresses, and yes these shorts. Living in Mississippi for the last two years has certainly had an impact on my personal style. If anything, I think it has forced me to realize that I am an East Coast girl at heart. I am drawn to preppy bright colors, clean lines, and a great button down. This button down in particular has subtle anchor print... a slight homage to my college days as a Delta Gamma.

A special thank you to fellow University of Florida grad and  Lucky Magazine Contributor Katherine Diane for featuring The Quarter Life Closet on her blog Southern Royalty.

Check out her blog and the feature here:)
