 Hello Everyone and happy Saturday. It has been a crazy and wonderful week! I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday with their friends and family. Since I have been home for Christmas I have raided my mother's furs and found this little cream-colored gem. Beautiful fur never goes out of style, but for a modern twist, I added my leather leggings, stripes and moto-boots. It is kind of fun to go into the New Year wearing something great from years past.  Now that I am finally home for Christmas, I am ready to celebrate! I have been obsessed with these pants ever since my favorite fashion illustrator Brittany Fuson showcased them in one of her drawings (here). They are such a great holiday pant that can be easily dressed up or down, making them versatile for any holiday invite. Though Brittany drew them with a chic coat, I paired mine with the perfect Christmas in Florida item: the short sleeve sweater. This one in particular is a nod to this season's fuzzy sweater trend. Happy Friday! When I was home two weeks ago, I found this blush pleated skirt that I hadn't worn in ages. In warmer months, I had paired this spring/summer skirt with metallic gladiator sandals and a slouchy tee. But with pastels being everywhere right now, I thought it would be perfect for a really mild winter day (something that only happens in Florida). By adding a leather jacket and biker boots I kept the skirt not only seasonally appropriate but from looking too girly. I love shopping my closet and making forgotten items feel like new! Onyx Fur

Though it is technically still fall, it sure feels as though winter has arrived!! With the temps dropping down below freezing range, this Florida girl has embraced the art of layering. To keep exceptionally warm, layering a faux-fur vest over or under (see here) a coat is a great way to go. Some faux-fur vests can look a little coarse or resemble a teddy bear. This one however, is fluffy and soft, all for an incredible price. Needless to say I am thrilled with my luxurious, yet thrifty find! If only scraping an icy windshield was as fun as dressing for the cold. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend and thank you for reading.

Hello Everyone and happy Thursday! I love 60's style... and this suit is just that. With it's cropped pants and peter pan collar it has a vintage and ladylike feel. The black and white graphic gingham is also perfect for the holidays (especially with a red lip). Head-to-toe print can seem intimidating, but keeping accessories minimal makes it wearable and also allows the suit to take center stage. Speaking of accessories, my little bag has a great story. My dad bought it for me in Costa Rica when I was a kid. It is real crocodile and was the perfect size for the 8-year-old me. Now, it still works as a classic structured night out bag. I am usually a fan of leopard printed heels (I treat them as a neutral and wear them with everything), but this polka-dot pair add a touch of whimsy to boyfriend jeans and flannel. Now that I have eaten my fair share of turkey and dressing, the next kind of dressing that will be on my mind is what I am going to wear to holiday parties! This skirt may just be my favorite thing in my closet right now, and nothing says holiday like taffeta. In order to balance out the ultra feminine skirt, I added edge with a leather moto-jacket and velvet crop-top. Mixing the textures of leather, velvet, and taffeta is a great way to add dimension and richness to create a celebration-ready ensemble. Now all I need is a glass of champagne and Christmas music! Happy Wednesday everyone! It is great how things come back in style. Case in point: flare jeans. They remind my Mom of the 1970s, and they remind me of the early 2000s...but either way they are a good way to switch up the skinny jean monotony. To play up the vintage vibe of these groovy jeans, I layered my fur vest under my basic black coat. This is a fun way to make a light weight coat extra cozy (It is officially cold in Florida today). And if I wasn't feeling like Rachel Zoe already, I threw on a tassel necklace. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday with their family and friends and as always thank you for reading!
